Are you based in Maine?
Yes. I grew up in the Camden area and have an office in downtown Bath, Maine. I regularly photograph weddings throughout NY and New England.
How would you describe your style?
Vivid.
Authentic.
Fresh.
Intuitive.
My style was born from the belief that a wedding day should be spent celebrating with friends and family. I see myself as a storyteller. Rather then posing and directing, I capture sweet moments and details as they unfold naturally.
What about formal photographs?
I do think family photographs are important. I have found that with a bit of preparation before the wedding day…your family photographs can be taken quickly and beautifully without fuss…letting you enjoy your wedding celebration.
How long have you been photographing weddings?
I have been photographing weddings since 2000…this is my 9th season and my full time job.
What do you like about wedding photography?
Honestly, it is such a rush to be in the right place at the right time. I love the challenge of thinking three steps ahead, predicting what will happen next, and capturing moments that might have otherwise gone unnoticed.
Do you offer custom packages?
Yes. I can send you a package/price list as a guide...but as we talk through the details of your wedding day we can create a custom package and quote.
I have experience photographing three day wedding celebrations, elopements, and everything in between.
Can guests bring their cameras and take photographs?
Yes, guests can bring their cameras and are welcome to take photographs.
Due to copyright issues, I am unable to work with other professional photographers unless we have a prearranged agreement.
How many photographs will be in the final wedding edit?
The typical 6 hour wedding with around 100 guests will have about 800 -1,100 photographs in the final edit.
Each celebration varies and the final number will depend on the number of guests, the amount of available light, the number of locations, the number of photographers, and the amount of time you would like for me to cover.
Can we print our wedding photographs ourselves?
Yes, if your package includes “Personal Use Rights” you may print as many photographs as you would like for personal use…prints for your wall, gifts, thank you cards…you can even make multiple copies of your wedding DVD for friends and family.
You would need my written permission to sell or publish an image.
How long until the final edit is ready?
It takes about four weeks for me to prepare the final edit. I know it will feel like forever…but trust me, it will be well worth the wait! Lately, I have been finishing the final edit in just two weeks!
